The Miss World Philippines Organization will have three (3) of its titleholders scheduled to fulfill their respective pageant missions abroad in the First Quarter of 2020:
1) Katrina S. Llegado for Reina Hispanoamericana in Sta. Cruz, Bolivia from late January till the 8th of February;
2) Isabelle Daza De Leon for Miss Multinational in New Delhi, India from February 14-22;
3) Kelley Day for Miss Eco International which will be hosted in five different cities in Egypt from the 23rd of March – onwards.
May the start of 2020 be filled with good fortune for these beautiful Queens who are all wearing #Paulina by Mikee Andrei.

Miss Universe 1999 1st runner-up Miriam Quiambao admitted that she had mixed feelings upon learning that the Miss Universe Philippines pageant in the country will no longer be handled by the Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc. (BPCI). It can be recalled that in December 2019, the new Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced that it will manage the franchise in the Philippines and it has appointed former titlist Shamcey Supsup as its National Director.
“Actually very sudden ‘yung biglang news na hindi na nga Binibining Pilipinas kasi for the longest time, institution na talaga ‘yung BPCI and wala kang ibang maiisip na mag-o-organize ng Miss Universe kundi BPCI. So nung nabalitaan ko nga na hindi na sila, parang nalungkot ako pero at the same time nagpasalamat din ako,” Miriam said in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
She added that BPCI truly opened doors and opportunities for many women.
“Nabuksan ang mga pinto. Binigyan nila ng pagkakataon. I am very thankful to BPCI. Pero dahil na rin nga ilang dekada na rin na sila ang nag-o-organize and siguro si Mrs. [Stella] Araneta medyo she’s not getting any younger, perhaps it’s time for a new breed of organizers to come in,” she said.

Miriam remarked that she believes the new Miss Universe Philippines organization is capable and fitting to further grow the pageant and find the right candidate to represent the Philippines on the international stage.“Who else to organize it but a Miss Universe representative herself ‘di ba? Si Shamcey and ‘yung grupo nila Jonas (Gaffud). Ilang dekada na rin sila nagpre-prepare ng mga babae. Kitang kita naman natin ang kakayahan nila. Marami silang napag-uwing korona na mga babae dahil na-train nila. They give the best trainings for our representatives. “Miracle baby” ang tawag ni Miss Universe 1999 first runner-up Miriam Quiambao sa kanyang bagong silang na anak na si Baby Elijah.
Ikinuwento ng dating beauty queen sa episode ng Magandang Buhay kahapon, April 26, ang mga sakripisyo at mga natutunan niya bilang first time mom sa edad na 43.
“Ganon pala noh, kapag nanay ka, kahit mahirap gagawin mo ang lahat e. Lahat ng sacrifice na pwede.
“Sa pregnancy pa lang nga e, ang dami ko nang naging sacrifice diyan. Biruin mo gabi gabi, kailangan kong mag-inject nung ‘pampakapit.’ Kailangan kong i-cancel lahat ng trips ko, lahat ng talks ko, hindi ako pwedeng tumanggap ng trabaho hanggang manganak ako,” pahayag ni Miriam.
Maaalalang naging bukas sina Miriam at asawa nitong si Ardy Roberto sa pagbibigay ng updates sa maselang pagbubuntis ng aktres noon, lalo na sa posibilidad ng pre-mature na panganganak.

For the first time, top beauty pageants — Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, Miss America, Miss Universe and now, Miss World — have crowned black women as their winners at the same time.
And that’s a big deal if you know pageant history.
Beauty pageants early in their histories, some dating back to the 1920s, barred women of color from participating. Even after organizations began changing their rules to accept women of all races, there was still a lingering frustration and opposition to join.

Omg! I bought myself The Chanel Modern Chain Tote Bag At Auction!!!!
For those who don’t already know, I’m a huge fan of Chiswick Auctions and every few months they have a specialist auction selling a designer handbags and fashion. I’ve bought and sold some Chanel via Chiswick Auctions before and as a result, I always have a nosey of the online catalog. Anyway! I spotted a few items I loved and on the morning of the auction I made a last minute phone call to place a couple of bids on items. Just so you know, I wasn’t one of those people bidding via the phone in real time, I just put down a price I was willing to pay and hoped for the best! As luck would have it, no one else wanted this metallic blue Chanel Modern Chain Tote Bag and I won it!!! For the hammer price!!!!!! Honestly! I still can’t believe it!
Condition
This bag was marked as a Grade B condition, mainly because of the slight wear to the leather and the slightly more wear to the chain and leather around the chain. Aside from that… this bag is in spectacular condition!!!! As you can imagine, Chiswick auctions are fairly conservative with their condition gradings, I think if this bag had been sold on eBay or somewhere less… meticulous, it would have been categorised as a B+. Anyway! That’s the condition, for me, I see why some might not be happy with a little slivering if the leather and chain, but for me, I think it looks fabulous and the slight wear just takes away the fear of carrying a brand new pristine Chanel bag around town! Y’know?
Chanel Modern Chain Tote Bag Design
This bag is a whole heap of fun! I love the bright metallic blue leather, the slightly tacky (can I say that?!) blue metallic chain handle and the oversized interlocking C’s on the front. It’s bold, brash and playful! It’s a bag which doesn’t take itself too seriously but also says ‘hello, my name is fabulous. Let’s order a cocktail with lunch’. This bag is here to have some fun, maybe not to party all night, but deffo have a great day! The bag can be worn with the trapeze sides out, or you can fold them into the bag to create a slightly neater silhouette. Personally, I wear mine with the trapeze sides out as that’s just the way it naturally sits and I’m happy just having it as a slouchy, oversized bag. As for the lining, it’s a fabric lined handbag, which is nice as it helps keep the weight of the bag down, but saying that, this bag is big and made with lots of chain and leather, so it’s not the worlds’ lightest handbag. Personally I think you can fit a fair bit inside without it getting too heavy and cumbersome. Maybe it’s the tote style and the chunky chain straps, but I find this chain tote bag easier and lighter to carry than the jumbo classic flap bag.
Authenticity
Oh so this is a big one! And SO important! When you are buying Chanel (or any designer bag) on the pre-loved market, how do you know if it’s authentic?! I’m not gonna lie… it’s hard! Especially if you are buying from somewhere where it’s a direct seller-to-buyer transaction. Which is why I advise to avoid eBay, Etsy, gumtree, Craig’s list… unless you are an expert, you could end up making a costly error! Personally I like to buy my pre-loved Chanel via any seller /service / platform which has an authentication service. Each item Chiswick Auction consigns is authenticated and guaranteed by an expert, so you will never get caught out. Side note, I also really love Vestiaire Collective. Friends. It’s important!
Occasion
For me, this Chanel Modern Chain Tote Bag has a bit of a streetwear vibe. It gives me 80’s New York Hip-hop vibes, but also ‘after this we’ll got to the grocery store’ vibes. It’s a shopper with a side of sass. Personally this bag is perfect for me hopping around town, doing my shopping and still having enough space to squeeze my laptop in. It’s slouchy and fun, but it’s also a show stopper with its bright blue leather and ballsy logo. Personally I use it as a day bag and it’s best worn with

Let’s talk money!!!! No really, let’s break it down and chat about how much I paid for this bad boy! So, I hinted about the price above and how I got it for the starting bid, but what is that? So, first of all, it’s important to mention I was the only person who bid on this bag and if others had been bidding, there’s not a chance I would have got this bag as my bid was insanely low. However, on the day I got lucky and I’m SO pleased! I got the bag for a hammer price of £750, with a further charge of £225 of buyers premium, so the price I paid for it, was £975. Which I think is pretty amazing!!!

Ok, so before you get your knickers in a twist by the baffling tagline, please stay with me because the word UNATTRACTIVE has nothing to do with looks or appearances.

Everyone wants to be a likeable person. Even the most introvert of people who like to quietly watch the crowd from a dark corner and be amused or jealous want to be known as “not a bad person”. But then sometimes, even without knowing, we tend to do things that make us unattractive as a person so much so that people won’t even want to be near us. So lets look at such unattractive characteristics:
- You are Rude – Plain & simple. Now you might be working hard to save the world which is giving you unwanted anxiety and keeping you at edge or you might be frustrated with your life (Yea life is sad sometimes for everyone, you’re no exception) that you want to snap at everyone and anyone, but my friend that is making you unattractive. People can’t see what you can see, all they see is that you are impolite, offensive and other synonyms for impolite and offensive.
- You are always Negative – Please note, there is a thin line between positive criticism and pessimism. Criticism can only come from someone who has been in your position or has experience in the area. I mean to put it plainly it should look like an invaluable feedback and not as downright rejection. Criticism is advice, pessimism is hitting the self esteem which my dear is not appreciated by anyone.
- You are never Wrong – Ahh..the ego boost that this sentence gives you..I know that feeling..Guilty. But the reality is that you are nothing but delusional. You can be wrong sometimes and the wiser alternative would be to either accept it or be quiet and not defend it, because if you do it would lead to more drama which will make you more Unattractive. It’s ok not to have the last say in an argument. Think about it and see yourself.
- You are Controlling – My favourite one. Subtle controlling is like a personal brand of heroin for Unattractive people. They usually take the passive aggressive route where people will be angry with you but they won’t be able to express it, which leaves you to do whatever you want. These people kill your self confidence, make you question your values, demoralise and so on and so forth. (I am already feeling unhealthy thinking such thoughts…tsk)
I am sure you all must have related this post to a particular person or maybe thinking about the times when you have behaved in some way or the other to express your Unattractiveness to others. My request to you is please stop strangulating others if you are an unattractive person as at the end of the time, you will be only man standing..like LITERALLY ALONE…!!!!!!!
