Now this is one teaser that I am dead serious about actually happening in 2020. And it’s not just because she could be one of the most gorgeous faces that any of our national beauty pageants will have next year. She also has such a spontaneous personality that blends with an engaging physical presence.REPORT THIS AD
Daisha Jimenez gave it one pre-empted try a number of years back (in 2017 if memory serves me right) when she was introduced during a mock pageant of KF held at the House Manila. She did not push through with the actual application with Bb. Pilipinas, though. I was a bit disappointed then because she has all the makings of a winner. Good height (minimum of 5’9”), standout looks, excellent communication skills and, oh, she can also sing.
If you have watched the trailer of the upcoming teleserye of ABS-CBN titled “Mahttps://www.pep.ph/guide/tv/147251/lizquen-kimxi-kathniel-top-bill-upcoming-abs-cbn-2020-teleseryes-a724-20191031ke It With You”, Daisha somehow reminds me of the Billy/Belinda character that lead female star Liza Soberano is playing. Now it comes as no coincidence that I am making a comparison here. There simply is a striking semblance between these two. But that’s as far as I would describe the former because she has a marked identity all her own.
I really don’t care much whichever camp gets to field her (although I was told that she was supposed to join Bb. Pilipinas earlier this year under A&Q). The important thing is that she gets convinced to finally give her nod. And that 2020 is the year to do it. If the upload of her latest photo below is any hint, she could be considering it at the very least. And I am keeping my fingers crossed. She is definitely a keeper!

MANILA — In a red dress inspired by the volcano near her home, Catriona Gray of the Philippines talked about working with children in the slums of Manila and advocated for the legalization of medical marijuana — and became the fourth Filipina to clinch the crown of Miss Universe on Monday.
For a pageant-mad country roiled by poverty, a devastating war on drugs and pervasive violence, it was a triumphant moment, and viewing parties all over the world — where millions of Filipinos work abroad — erupted into glorious celebrations.
The 24-year-old Philippine-Australian model’s gown at the Bangkok contest was inspired by the Mount Mayon volcano, but there was more to the dress than an homage to topography — her mother had dreamed of it.
“When I was 13 years old, my mother told me, ‘I had a dream that you were in Miss Universe, and you won in a red dress,’” Gray told reporters after her coronation.

Russian law enforcement agencies investigate the murder of Ekaterina Karaglanova, a 24-year-old model and beauty blogger, a participant of Miss Maxim 2018 contest, whose body was found in a suitcase in her apartment on the outskirts of Moscow last week. 7 comments 0 share

Ekaterina disappeared on July 22. Her landlord found her body on July 27. According to one version, the woman was killed by one of her lovers. Ekaterina took part in photoshoots as a model, she had a travel blog and was addicted to a luxurious style of living. She would very often use “luxury” hashtag in her posts on social media sites. She had many fans, but the woman was keeping her men out of sight for her friends.
Two years ago, Ekaterina was going to marry a 52-year-old businessman, but the couple broke up. She recently broke up with another man, and was planning to celebrate her 25th birthday with another 52-year-old man on July 30 in the Netherlands. Investigators believe that one of those men could be in the woman’s apartment on the day when she was murdered.
A CCTV camera in the apartment building, where the woman lived, recorded a moment when a man wearing a baseball cap and shorts entered the building on the day of the murder. Four hours later, the same man, wearing trousers, could be seen leaving the building. The man was carrying a gray suitcase in his hand, on which he was wearing a black glove.
According to investigators, there are several suitcases in this murder case. One of them is large and black – Ekaterina’s body was found in that suitcase in her apartment. The murderer put her body into the black suitcase before he left. She was found there naked; the victim’s throat was slit.
The murderer obviously packed something into the gray suitcase that he took out of the apartment building. Investigators believe that he could use the suitcase to dispose of blood-stained clothes of the victim.
Investigators believe that Ekaterina could work as an escort girl for wealthy male clients. Her friends told the police that Ekaterina was never short of money.
Shortly before her death, Ekaterina posted the following message on her page: “Luxury is not about restaurants, lipstick or stilettos. Real luxury is about living your life the way that you like it. Wearing comfortable underwear. Wearing comfortable shoes. Wearing the color of lipstick that you like, or without lipstick at all. Eating the food that you like, being friends with someone you feel warm with, being together for love, rather than for commitment.”
According to most recent updates to the story, the murderer has been found and arrested.
A 33-year-old man named as Maxim Gareev has already admitted that on July 26 of this year he murdered the beauty and travel blogger in Moscow.
When asked for what reason he killed the woman, the young man replied that Ekaterina had repeatedly insulted and humiliated his sexual dignity and diminished his financial capacity. “I could not stand it and inflicted at least five stab wounds to her neck and chest,” the detainee told the police.
Gareev came to Karaglanova’s home and found out that she was going to fly to the Netherlands with her new 52-year-old boyfriend to celebrate her 25th birthday on July 30. In a fit of anger, Gareev stabbed the woman several times and then tried to pack the body into a suitcase to subsequently dispose of the body. The body was too big for the bag, and the man simply decided to leave the bag in the apartment. He packed Ekaterina’s blood-stained clothes into another suitcase and then burnt them in the woods.

The lawsuit states that because the pageant doesn’t preclude other women from surgically altering their bodies, for breast enhancements for example, that the “natural” woman requirement is arbitrary and meant only to exclude trans people:
Green told NPR that “transgender women are equal to cisgender women” and the objective is to give women a “voice” and project “body positivity”:
I want to show that beauty doesn’t have to fit into a certain mold. I want to promote a message of body positivity. And I think it’s important to discuss the horrifying things transgender people oftentimes have to go through. There have been at least 27 transgender people who have been murdered in the U.S.
Green participated in the Miss Universe family of pageants and was the Oregon representative to the “Miss Earth United States” pageant system where she was “welcomed with arms wide open.” The Miss America pageant has let in transgender contestants since 2012.
The pageant seems to have foot-faulted into being the target of the lawsuit. Green’s lawsuit says a Miss United States of America staffer “friended” her on Facebook. To become an excellent fashionist, always get updated with latest fashion trends. This keeps your head up in the game. An outdated fashionist wears the keeps the pajamas on throughout the day.
